William Byron wasn't far behind, using a lap of 29.217 to lock down the ninth spot. Rounding out the organization's teams, Chase Elliott will start 15th and Justin Allgaier, filling in for Alex Bowman in the No. 48 Ally Chevy this week, will roll off 22nd.
