Noel Leon captured his first Formula 2 Sprint Race win on May 23, 2026, taking the chequered flag at Montreal’s Circuit Gilles Villeneuve for Campos Racing. The breakthrough triumph marked his maiden F2 victory and headlined a tightly packed field in Canada.
MP Motorsport’s Gabriele Mini finished second and, crucially, moved into the championship lead after outscoring nearest rivals Nikola Tsolov and Rafael Camara in the sprint. Martinius Stenshorne completed the podium for Rodin Motorsport.
Behind the lead trio, Laurens Van Hoepen came home fourth for Trident, with Emmerson Fittipaldi fifth for AIX Racing and Dino Beganovic sixth for DAMS Lucas Oil. Invicta Racing’s Rafael Camara placed seventh, Roman Bilinski was eighth for DAMS Lucas Oil, while Hitech’s Colton Herta and MP Motorsport’s Ollie Goethe rounded out the points in ninth and 10th respectively.
Ritomo Miyata (Hitech) led the next group in 11th ahead of Kush Maini (ART Grand Prix), Alex Dunne (Rodin Motorsport), Nikola Tsolov (Campos Racing) and Mari Boya (PREMA Racing) in 12th through 15th. Nicola Varrone (Van Amersfoort Racing) finished 16th. Retirements included Sebastian Montoya (PREMA Racing), Rafael Villagomez (Van Amersfoort Racing), Cian Shields (AIX Racing), Joshua Durksen (Invicta Racing) and John Bennett (Trident). Tasanapol Inthraphuvasak (ART Grand Prix) did not start.
